Former RNC Chairman Steele Passes on Governor’s Race
Michael Steele served as lieutenant governor during former Gov. Robert Ehrlich's administration.

Michael Steele, former Republican National Committee chairman and Maryland lieutenant governor, will not run for the Republican nomination for governor in 2014.
Steele said that he was going to “take a pass” for both personal and strategic reasons, according to the Washington Post.
Harford County Executive David Craig, Del. Ron George, of Anne Arundel County, and Charles County resident Charles Lollar have already launched campaigns for the Republican nomination.
