Generators Stolen in Pinehurst During Outages
The generators were reported missing Sunday morning.
Two generators were reported stolen in Pinehurst early Sunday, following the weekend's massive thunderstorms.
One generator was reported stolen from a backyard in the 200 block of Gaywood Road at approximately 2:45 a.m. Sunday. The other was reported stolen in the 6300 block of Pinehurst Road around 3:14 a.m., according to a police incident summary.
More than 100,000 Baltimore Gas and Electric customers in Baltimore County at some point over the weekend. Some residents routinely turn to generators to keep their home running until power is restored.

Police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathleen Batton said she was not immediately aware of a wider trend of such thefts across the county during the weekend's power outages.
