Harlem Globetrotters Dribble to Towson
The exhibition basketball team is in town to commemorate Globetrotter Week in the state.

The Harlem Globetrotters dribbled a nearly 8-mile non-stop trek from the Inner Harbor to Towson University Monday to mark Globetrotter Week in Maryland.

The exhibition also promoted the opening of the school's Tiger Arena, according to a news release. The Baltimore Sun’s Insider program donated two tickets to local charities for the upcoming Globetrotters games (June 19-21) at Tiger Arena for every tenth mile the players traveled.
Tickets for the games, which all start at 7 p.m., can be purchased at the Tiger Arena Box office on or through Ticketmaster.
Towson University broke ground for the 5,478-seat Tiger Arena in May 2011. The stadium, which cost the school approximately $70 million, will host Towson basketball, gymnastics and volleyball.
