Husband, Wife Die In Owings Mills Murder-Suicide: Police

A husband and wife were found dead in Baltimore County, police said. Detectives are investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A husband and wife were found dead in Owings Mills, police announced Wednesday.

Detectives are investigating the case as a murder-suicide. There is no threat to the community.

Officers said both had gunshot wounds. Authorities think one of the deceased people took their own life.

Police identified the couple as 59-year-old Karen Franklin and 63-year-old Gary Franklin.

Officers said they responded Tuesday for the shooting in the 3500 block of Avery Hill Drive. That's located in the Worthington Park neighborhood.

Authorities promised more information after the manner of death is determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
