Man Sentenced to Life in 2011 Towson Town Center Murder
The hit was ordered by the Black Guerilla Family, a gang based in the Maryland prison system.

The Pen Lucy man convicted in the late-2011 shooting death of Rodney Pridget was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole Tuesday.
Tyrone Brown, 21, was convicted of first-degree murder on March 13, 2013.
Judge Robert Cahill ordered the sentence to be served consecutively to another 10-year sentence Brown is serving in Baltimore City, according to a news release from the Baltimore County State's Attorney Office.

On Dec. 19, 2011, Brown shot Pridget, then 19, six times outside the Towson Town Center, a hit that was ordered by the Black Guerilla Family prison gang.
William Ward III and Frank Theodore Williams were previously sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for their roles in helping Brown commit the murder, according to the release.

The Black Guerilla Family was blamed for a spike in homicides last year in the Baltimore City Police's Northern District, which borders the Towson area.
"These guys were just assassins. These weren’t just regular shootings," Baltimore City Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts told members of the York Road Partnership during a meeting last month.
