A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Gov. Martin O'Malley, who is reportedly considering running for president, finished last among Democrats in a national poll gauging support for several possible candidates.  According to the <a href="http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2013/images/09/16/2016poll.pdf" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">CNN/ORC poll</a>, a possible O'Malley bid for president in 2016 has the backing of just 2 percent of Democrats and liberal leaning independents. Hillary Clinton was the heavy favorite garnering 65 percent support of those polled, while Vice President Joe Biden earned 10 percent, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren polled at 7 percent and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo received 6 percent. Earlier in this year O'Malley <a href="https://towson.patch.com/groups/politics-and-elections/p/o-malley-finishes-last-in-new-hampshire-presidential-poll">finished last in a poll</a> by New England College of New Hampshire voters. The state holds the first primary during both the Republican and Democratic nomination processes. But the positive side of the poll for O'Malley is that it shows an uptick in support, at least nationally. In the earlier poll O'Malley received zero percent of the people polled saying they supported the two-term Maryland governor.
