Phelps Not Planning to Medal in Pre-Olympics Beauty Contest

In his official headshot ahead of the London Olympics, Towson's own Michael Phelps looks like he just spent a few weeks competing on "Survivor."

This scraggly-bearded, bed-headed shot is the picture on his official Olympics profile, which lists his height, weight, Olympics record, hobbies ("playing video games, watching television"), rituals and other trivia.

It will be the clean-shaven Michael Phelps, not the Nick Nolte version, who takes to the pool on Saturday for his first events in London.

As Deadspin noted earlier this month, Phelps has taken worse photos.
