A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. A  fire at a home on Bellona Avenue Monday is being classified as arson. The home burglarized and a 2006 Porsche Cayenne with Maryland tags 584M126 is missing, according to a police news release. A television and DVD player was also stolen, according to a statement issued by the Baltimore County Police Department. Investigators from the county police arson squad determined that an accelerant was used to start the fire at two separate locations in the house. Fire and police personnel responded to the fire in the 7000 block of Bellona Avenue at around 8 a.m. Monday. A firefighter fell through the floor into the basement during the incident, but was not injured. Anyone with information is asked to call the arson squad at (410)-887-4870.
