A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. A Ridgeleigh man was arrested last week after he was allegedly discovered burglarizing a nearby home, authorities said. Police say Justin Wilkerson, 25, of the 1700 block of Weston Ave., broke through a rear window in the 1700 block of Amuskai Road around 9:15 a.m. on June 7. There, he allegedly attempted to steal 254 pieces of jewelry, according to a police incident report. Wilkerson was arrested at the scene. Wilkerson was charged with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary, theft and destruction of property. According to online court records, he is currently being held on $50,000 bail at the . Wilkerson has numerous arrest records and convictions dating back to 2005, according to online court records. Several days earlier, a warrant had been issued for Wilkerson's arrest, related to the alleged violation of a protective order.
