A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Maryland Bikeways awarded $355,600 in grants for construct and repair bike routes in Baltimore County.The program has awarded $3.2 million in funding to 23 projects in four counties and 12 municipalities, according to a news release from the state.Here is a list of projects being funded in the county: Extending the bicycle trail to connect Ebenezer and Silver Hall Roads: $126,000<ul><li>Bike route signage and lanes to connecting with the Baltimore City network: $60,000</li><li>Signs for bike routes, bike lanes and "sharrows" in Southwest Baltimore County: $79,600 </li><li>Signs for bike routes, bike lanes and "sharrows" to link the Towson Bike Beltway: $90,000  </li></ul>
