Towson Among '2022 Best Places To Live In Baltimore Area': Report

TOWSON, MD — Towson is considered one of the best neighborhoods in the Baltimore metro area, according to Niche's new list of best places to live in 2022.

The new Niche listings, with rankings both national and local, were released Monday. It ranked Towson No. 7 on its local "Best Places to Live" list.

"Living in Towson offers residents an urban-suburban mix feel and most residents own their homes," Niche commented on its website. "In Towson there are a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many young professionals live in Towson and residents tend to have moderate political views. The public schools in Towson are highly rated."

The company creates its annual "Best Places to Live" rankings using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in addition to resident reviews, according to a news release.

It also considers factors like affordability, the housing market, diversity, public schools and walkability.
