Towson Crime: Burglar Attempts to Steal Car, Leaves With Dog Treats

Riderwood

Ruxton Green Court, unit block. Between 1 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., July 21. Overnight, a burglar entered through a side garage door and tried to take a vehicle. Instead, the burglar took dog treats, a cardboard map of US state quarters and an iPod touch.

Ellenham Road, 7800 block. Between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., July 26. A 2009 blue Honda Accord with the Maryland tag WOWSCAR was stolen from the owner's driveway.

Hillendale

Ryewood Road, 1700 block. Between 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., July 29. A kids bank, $3,000 cash and a Hewlett-Packard laptop valued at $600 were stolen from a townhome. The rear door had been left unlocked.

Towson Manor Village

East Burke Avenue, 200 block. Between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., July 27. A 2004 Ford Explorer was stolen. The owner's spare key was missing from her bedroom—she told police she believes friends of her son may have taken the vehicle.

East Towson

Jefferson Avenue, 400 block. Between noon, July 19 and 3 p.m., July 27. Two air units were stolen from an office.

West Towson

Terrace Way, 400 block. Between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., July 21. A screen was cut and a basement window was broken in an attempted burglary.

Loch Raven

Loch Raven Boulevard, 6600 block. Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., July 26. A copper rain spout was removed from a home.

Loch Raven Village

Greenway Road, 8400 block. 1:38 p.m., July 23. Two heating and air conditioning workers used a key to enter a home, then took $30 from the resident's wallet.

Knettishall

Naturo Road, 1600 block. Between 6 a.m. and 4:15 p.m., July 19. Burglars entered through an unlocked front window and took a 32-inch Vizio television, a 20-inch Panasonic television and a Toshiba netbook.
