Towson Crime: Former Employee Suspected in Jerry's Robbery

Downtown Towson
York Road, 300 block. 10:47 p.m. June 10. A burglar used a key to enter turned off an alarm and stole more than $2,931.67 from a lock box. Police said they have obtained a warrant for former Jerry's employee Alonzo Allan Jeter Jr., 22, of the 4500 block of Cedar Garden Road in Baltimore.

Rodgers Forge
Dumbarton Road, 100 block. Between 3 and 3:40 p.m. June 16. A man called a home from a Connecticut area code and told the resident she won $5.6 million. She declined. The man called several times until the woman's son answered. The man then demanded $10,000 delivered to Dunkirk Road by 4 p.m. or he would burn down the victim's house and kill both of them, according to police.

Towson
East Joppa Road, 1200 block. 2:25 p.m. June 10. Two men got into a verbal altercation over a dispute between their girlfriends. One pointed a silver handgun at the other, police said. A manager at the location intervened, and both men reportedly left.
Hillendale
Venus Court, unit block. 10:30 p.m. June 15. A man was approached from behind by two robbers after he knocked on a friend's door. One man struck him in the head with a handgun. The pair then removed $200, a gold chain, a pair of Nike Air shoes and a Samsung Galaxy 2 phone before fleeing in an unknown direction.
Collinsdale Road, 6600 block. Between 9 a.m. June 15 and 2:30 a.m. June 16. An apartment was ransacked, and a 73-inch Mitsubishi television, Sony DVD player and surround sound system were reported stolen. Other property may have been taken as well, police said.
Collinsdale Road, 6600 block. Between 8 p.m. June 8 and 5:50 p.m. June 11. A white 1996 Pontiac Sunfire was reported stolen. All keys were accounted for.
Ruxton
Old Orchard Lane, 1500 block. Between 9:30 a.m. and noon June 15. A Hewlett-Packard laptop and $15 were reported stolen. The front door was unlocked.
Glenmont
Taylor Avenue, 800 block. 1:40 a.m. June 14. Someone broke into a vacant store next door to and cut a large hole in the wall. The liquor store's alarm sounded at 1:48 a.m. and the burglar fled.
Baynesville
Loch Bend Drive, 8700 block. Between 4 p.m. June 12 and 8 a.m. June 13. A 2000 Toyota Camry with Virginia tag No. KGB5400 was reported stolen by unknown means.
