Towson Crime: Items Stolen From Crashed, Stolen Truck

Ruxton

West Joppa Road, 1400 block. Between 11 p.m., July 17 and 4:30 a.m., July 18. A thief tried to take a 2010 Ford F150, hit a fence, then got out of the truck and left it there, unlocked with the keys inside. The thief took a Hewlett-Packard laptop and $600 from the vehicle and rummaged through another car and a garage.

Hillendale

Collindale and Deanwood roads. Between 11 p.m., July 18 and 11 a.m., July 19. An orange 49 cc scooter, chained to a storm drain, was stolen. The lock had been cut.

Loch Raven Village

Kennoway Road, 1700 block. Between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., July 20. A lawnmower was stolen from a backyard.

Oakleigh Manor

Quentin Avenue, 8600 block. Between 1 p.m., July 13 and 7 a.m., July 16. A Dewalt air compressor, framing gun, two trim guns, chop saw and drill were stolen. Police are unsure how the burglar entered the area.

East Towson

Lennox Avenue, 300 block. Between 7 p.m., July 15 and 7 a.m., July 16. A moped was stolen from in front of the home and recovered in the 200 block of East Pennsylvania Avenue with damage to the front and side.

Knettishall

Yakona Road, 1600 block. Between 7:45 a.m. and 4:02 p.m., July 17. A 42-inch Sharp flat-screen television, Sony DVD player, two Chase credit cards and one Bank of America credit card were stolen. Police believe the burglar entered through a back window.

Hillendale Park

Cobourg Court, 1800 block. Between 11 p.m., July 16 and 8 a.m., July 17. At Oakleigh Apartments, a burglar pried open a laundry room door and opened drywall covering a window. The burglar flipped over the washers and dryers, destroyed coin slots and removed quarters. The burglar stole approximately $100 in change.

The Colony

Bridgeman Terrace, 600 block. Between 11:30, July 11 and 11 a.m., July 15. A lockbox, prescriptions, movies, PlayStation 3 games and $1,000 cash were stolen. Police believe the burglar entered through an unsecured front window.
