Towson Family Highlighted on Federal Health Care Site

A Towson family is front and center on a U.S. Health and Services website touting the controversial Affordable Care Act.
That law was on Thursday, in a 5-4 vote.
In a post dated June 22, Dori Salcido, the acting assistant secretary for public affairs for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, writes about Avey Steinberg, a Towson toddler who was diagnosed with leukemia at age 2.

Mom Alycia, in a video attached to the post, talks about the benefits of a provision in the law that prevents insurers from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions.
Shortly after Thursday's ruling from the high court, the video was linked in an email sent to supporters of Gov. Martin O'Malley's campaign.
