Towson Royal Farms Sold $10,000 Powerball Ticket
Ten tickets sold in Maryland garnered the $10,000 prize.

Nobody in Maryland won the top prize of $587.5 million in last month's record Powerball drawing, but there were plenty of winners—including someone who purchased a ticket in Towson.
A $10,000 third-tier-winning ticket was sold at Royal Farms in the 7000 block of York Road in Towson. The winner chose to stay anonymous, said Erica Palmisano, assistant director of communications for the Maryland Lottery.
It was one of 10 tickets sold in Maryland that garnered the $10,000 prize. Another ticket was sold in Middle River, and two were sold in Baltimore City. The $10,000 jackpot for a ticket sold at a 7-Eleven in Hamilton in Baltimore City was unclaimed as of Wednesday morning.

"It’s important for players to check their tickets before throwing them away," Maryland Lottery Director of Communications Carole Everett said in a statement Wednesday. "There are plenty of other prizes beside the jackpot which are still substantial."
