A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Congratulations to , our first winner in Towson Patch's Best Of contest. THB took more than 40 percent of the vote in our poll to find Towson's best breakfast. "Thank you very much," owner Tony Scotto said when told of the win. "We try to do all our best." Opened in 1999, THB has become a popular breakfast destination for students and office workers alike. Front and center on the menu you'll find the usual bagels with toppings like cream cheese, peanut butter and lox. But its egg and cheese—made-to-order with a real fried egg and choice of meat served in the bagel of your choice—is an early-morning tradition. The cafe also serves omelettes and home fries. As THB has grown in popularity, it's also grown in size. A 2010 expansion into the old Chili Man Weiners provided new table space, while a second THB opened in Canton. A third location will .
