Towson's Rich and Single Found at Community Events
'Money Magazine' named the town the eighth best in the country for the rich and single.

If you're looking to be a kept man or woman, Money Magazine advises you to "hit the bricks" in Towson.
The magazine recently named the town the eighth best in the country for the rich and single, and cited outdoor community events such as Winterfest and Towsontown Spring Festival as the spots to meet these people.

Hafford said the chamber's largely volunteer operation puts on about 60 outdoor events in the community a year.
According to Money, Towson has a median family income of $111,739, and 35.8 percent of its 56,362 population is single.

Towson was among 25 towns ranked in the magazine's list. It fell between Sandy Springs, GA in seventh place and Oak Park, IL in ninth.
