Towson Town Center Hosts 'Houses of Hope'

is using this month to celebrate the work of a Towson nonprofit and some very special artists.

Throughout the mall through Aug. 19, Towson Town Center is showcasing 12 birdhouses as part of "Houses of Hope," a project by the Towson-based .

A professional art instructor helped 36 current and former pediatric cancer patients paint birdhouses to tell their story of dealing with the disease.

The 12 houses on display at Towson Town Center are accompanied by a biography and photo of the artist.

The artists were honored in a reception at the mall on Wednesday night.
