Traffic Alert: Overnight Lane Closures on I-83
Lane closures are set for resurfacing work on the Jones Falls Expressway.

State highway officials say upcoming evening work, between June 24 and July 5, could impact drivers on the Jones Falls Expressway.
The closures are part of $5.8 million in resurfacing work around the region.
According to a release from the State Highway Administration, drivers can expect lane closures on Southbound Interstate 83 between Old Pimlico Road and the Baltimore City line weeknights between Sunday, June 24 and Thursday, June 28.

Work on the northbound lanes is set for the evenings of Sunday, July 1; Monday, July 2; and Thursday, July 5.
Single lane closures will begin at 7 p.m. each night, with two lanes closed starting as early at 10 p.m. Lane closures will continue until 5 a.m., right before the morning rush.

If you're driving in the area during the impacted times, officials advise you to plan for extra travel time, or use Charles Street or Falls Road as alternate routes.
