A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Two men were arrested last week after they allegedly broke into an apartment in the Fairways at Towson community. Michael Eugene McKay, 28, of no fixed address and Tayvon Terrelli Miller, 26, of the 6800-block of Sturbridge Drive in Baltimore have been charged with first-degree burglary, according to a Baltimore County police report. At around 12:30 p.m. Sept. 25, police said the two men tried to steal an iPad, watch, hard drive, laptop, backpack, 15 video games, headphones, video camera, charging cables, iPod, hat and tool box from an apartment in the 6900 block of Lachlan Circle. Police said the men entered the residence through the front door. Both men were arrested at the scene before leaving with any of the items, a police report showed.
