Seminary Ave. Closed Due to Water Main Break

It's unknown how many water customers will be affected.

(Updated 2:08 p.m.)—A portion of Seminary Avenue in Lutherville is closed following a water main break this morning, according to a Baltimore City Department of Public Works spokesman.

Baltimore City water crews are on the scene of the break, which as of 11:55 a.m.,  which happened this morning near the intersection of Seminary and Oak Hampton Drive. Seminary is closed between Dulaney Valley and Charmuth roads, Kurt Kocher said in an email.

Fifteen homes and a gated community are affected by the break. Kocher said DPW has not yet determined what caused the break.

Kocher said crews hope to have a westbound lane opened later this afternoon, but repairs will last at least through the evening rush hour.
