What's Open, Closed For Thanksgiving In Baltimore County

Trash and recycling schedules will shift for Thanksgiving. Parking meters will be free.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Those looking to check out the library or put the trash out on Thursday will need to make other plans. Baltimore County has announced many services will be paused for the Thanksgiving holiday.

One thing also take a break, and that is parking meters, which will be free in Baltimore County Thursday, Nov. 25.

Trash, recycling and yard waste will not be picked up on Thanksgiving. Drop-off centers will also be closed. After the holiday, people should leave their materials out until they are collected. Drop-off centers will open with normal hours Wednesday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 26.

Residents can check their trash and recycling pickup schedules online or by calling 410-887-2000. They are also available on the free BaltCoGo mobile app.

The Towson Loop service and CountyRide van service will not operate.

All branches of the Baltimore County Public Library will be will be closed.
