What's Open on Christmas?

Some don't celebrate Christmas. Some don't enjoy the taste of fruitcake. OK, scratch that. Most don't enjoy the taste of fruitcake. But whether you're celebrating or not, it helps to know that there are places in town that are still open to help stave off the boredom and hunger of one of the year's biggest holidays.

As the photo suggests, the has a free show Saturday night with I, The Breather; The Annex Road; Live N Breathe; and Wishbone. Its next door neighbor, The Rec Room, has a pajama party starting at 10 p.m. Bring your own pajamas, of course, and they'll supply the party.

If you need that last-second thing for Christmas dinner, select Giant Food locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. That includes the and the larger store in Timonium at 2145 York Road. The pharmacies, however, will be closed.

If turkey with all the trimmings just doesn't do it for you, there are a few sit-down restaurants that are open for Christmas. is open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Next door, is open from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. If you want to eat out at any of these places, it's probably a good idea to call ahead.
