White Student Union May Form at Towson U.
A representative for the prospective group told 'The Towerlight' that the university is hostile toward white students.

A group of students are investigating the possibility of creating a school-sanctioned White Student Union.
According to campus newspaper The Towerlight, Matthew Heimbach, former president of the , is involved in the initiative. Youth for Western Civilization was known for having members reportedly write "White Pride" in chalk at locations around the campus and controversial remarks made toward gay, ethnic and religious groups.
"We essentially want to replicate what every student union does on campus,” Heimbach told The Towerlight. "You have a Black student Union who promotes black heroes, we want to do the same thing."

"We’d also want to create a safe space for members who have filed hate/bias reports and who have had anti-white language used against them," he said to the newspaper. "Especially the female members who have heard 'cracker' and 'honkie,' and nothing has ever come of it. It’s a support network for a campus that is hostile toward white students."
The Towerlight reports that paperwork has not yet been filed for the group, but a group leader has met with the university's Student Government Association advisor.
