Fatal Shooting Followed Argument in Brandywine, Suspect in Custody: Police
Man charged with first degree and second degree murder in Nov. 11 shooting, Prince George's County Police announced Monday.

BRANDYWINE, MD — A suspect has been arrested in a fatal shooting in Brandywine earlier this month, Prince George's County Police announced Monday. Muhammad Ali, 34, of the 5800 block of Annapolis Road in Bladensburg is charged with first and second degree murder.
At 6 p.m. on Nov. 11, victim Tyrone Shirriel Jr., 46, of Oxon Hill was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 13600 block of Tower Road. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to a police statement.
"The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect was involved in a verbal and physical altercation with the victim prior to the shooting," according to the statement. "The suspect and the victim were acquaintances."

The Department of Corrections is holding Ali without bond.
