• String of thefts at Old Town yoga apparel stores under police investigation (alxnow.com) — Police across the region are tracking suspects tied to high-value yoga apparel thefts after a getaway Jeep linked to the crimes was later found abandoned in Upper Marlboro. Investigators say the same black Jeep Grand Cherokee is connected to multiple Alo Yoga and Lululemon thefts in Old Town Alexandria and beyond, and they’re asking anyone with tips to contact Alexandria Police.
   

• Two Maryland men facing 20 years in prison for laundering over $11 million (foxbaltimore.com) — An Upper Marlboro resident is among several Marylanders who have pleaded guilty in a sweeping money-laundering scheme that moved more than $11 million from victims including governments, schools, and businesses. Two ringleaders now face up to 20 years in federal prison, with sentencings scheduled for spring 2026 and millions in restitution already ordered for co-conspirators.
