Moore Unveils $69.5 Million In Grants To Boost Housing, Business And Community Development (thebaynet.com) — Upper Marlboro is set to receive state funding to build a new railroad-themed playground and splash pad as part of Governor Wes Moore’s $69.5 million revitalization package. The grants back 226 projects statewide, boosting housing, small businesses, community facilities, and infrastructure, including several initiatives across Prince George’s County that could shape local neighborhoods for years to come.
   

3. Where To See Holiday Lights In Maryland For 2025 (thebaynet.com) — Upper Marlboro families can enjoy the Winter Festival of Lights at Watkins Regional Park, with drive-through displays and optional hayrides priced per vehicle or person. String of thefts at Old Town yoga apparel stores under police investigation (alxnow.com) — A regional shoplifting investigation into high-value thefts from Alo Yoga and Lululemon stores has a key link to Upper Marlboro, where a suspect Jeep was later found abandoned on Penn Randall Place. Two Maryland men facing 20 years in prison for laundering over $11 million (foxbaltimore.com) — One person from Upper Marlboro is among several Maryland residents who have pleaded guilty in a large money laundering and fraud scheme that moved more than $11 million from government and institutional victims. Two ringleaders now face up to 20 years in federal prison, while several co-conspirators have already received multi-year sentences and hefty restitution orders.
