A Former Marine and Avid Marathon Runner Raced To Lotto Headquarters To Claim His $100K
A former Marine and marathon runner who has logged close to 70 races recently sprinted to the lottery to claim his $100K prize.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A marathon runner raced to Maryland Lottery headquarters to claim his $100,000 prize he recently won on a Lucky scratch-off ticket.
The Prince George's County man found the 15th of 65 $100,000 top prizes on the $30 game. The former U.S. Marine has logged close to 70 marathons and also has collected several big lottery prizes on his way to getting $100,000 richer. While at lottery headquarters, the 66-year-old recalled winning at least two $50,000 prizes and one $100,000 prize from both the Maryland Lottery and D.C. Lottery.
“I have very good luck,” he said.

Lothian Mart, located at 5423 Southern Maryland Boulevard in Lothian, also can celebrate. For selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off, the Anne Arundel County retailer receives a $1,000 bonus from the lottery.
