Police: Man Killed While Crossing Train Tracks

It appears that the Prince George's County man's death was accident, police report.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a MARC train early Monday morning, according to Prince George’s Police Department.

Police received a call for the incident around 6:15 a.m. Dec. 16. When they arrived at 11600 block of Baltimore Avenue in Beltsville they found Ascenscion Guevara, 41, suffering from critical injuries. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators believe that Guevara was trying to cross the tracks from Muirkirk Station to Union Station to go to a local coffee shop when he was hit. It appears that the collision was an accident.
