Prince George's County Sheriff: Deputies Arrest First Degree Rape Suspect

… The Office of the Sheriff’s
Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Francis Adeyinka Akande on August
7, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Rape obtained by county police on August
6, 2021.

According
to the warrant, on July 23, 2021, a victim walked into a local police station
to report that Akande sexually assaulted them at a residence in the 4200 Block
of Kaywood Dr. in Mount Rainier, MD. The victim reported dancing at a party
when Akande forced them against the wall and began to perform sexual acts without
consent.

On
August 7th, deputies determined that Akande could be located at an
address in the 4200 Block of Russell Ave, in Mount Rainier, MD. When deputies
arrived, Akande answered the door, allowing them to enter the home. He was served
the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s
County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Akande
is also charged with Second Degree Rape, First Degree Assault, Second-Degree
Assault, and Fourth Degree Sexual Contact without consent.
