Prince George's County Sheriff: Deputies Arrest Threat Of Mass Violence Suspect

The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of
Tolulope Oluwakorede Adetayo on August 12, 2021, on a warrant for Threat of
Mass Violence obtained by county police on August 8, 2021.

According to the warrant,
on August 8th, Adetayo called a local
hospital, spoke with a call taker, and stated she planned to blow up
(explosion) the hospital. The call taker asked Adetayo to repeat herself, at
which point she said she was going to blow up the hospital. Detectives were
able to identify Adetayo as the suspect through their investigation.
On August 12th,
deputies determined that Adetayo could be located at an address in the 3500
Block of Hubbard Rd. in Landover, MD. When deputies arrived, a resident
answered, allowing them to enter the home. Deputies were told that Adetayo was
not there; however, they were given consent to search. During the search,
Adetayo was located hiding in the hallway closet. Adetayo was removed, served
the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s
County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.
