From reviving residents in medical emergencies to stopping armed suspects and aiding kidnapped children, the awards highlight how local deputies, analysts, and community members are working to keep Waldorf and surrounding Charles County communities safer.
   

• Waldorf Man Gets 55 Years in Federal Robbery Spree (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — Several Waldorf residents have received or face lengthy federal prison sentences for a violent robbery and carjacking spree across Charles, Prince George’s, and Prince William counties, including one fatal shooting. A 52-year-old Waldorf man was sentenced Monday to 55 years, while another has 18 years and two more await sentencing in early 2026 after a multi-agency investigation.
