Serious Crash On Route 301: Child Flown Out, Woman Transported To Area Trauma Center (thebaynet.com) — A serious two‑vehicle crash on northbound Route 301 just south of Substation Road in Waldorf sent a 2‑year‑old girl by helicopter to Children’s National and another woman to a trauma center Monday night. The child has since been released, and Maryland State Police’s Crash Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision.

Blue Crabs Begin Search After Cliburn Era Ends (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — Waldorf baseball fans are seeing a major change as longtime Southern Maryland Blue Crabs manager Stan Cliburn steps down after a record-setting run at Regency Furniture Stadium. FTC Fines 7-Eleven Record $4.5M on Fuel Deal (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — Waldorf drivers are seeing regular gas around $3.10–$3.14 at local 7‑Eleven stations, even as the chain pays a record $4.5 million FTC penalty over a fuel‑deal violation in Florida. The ruling tightens federal oversight of 7‑Eleven’s future acquisitions, which regulators say helps protect competition and keep pump prices in check in markets like Southern Maryland.
   

5. Local Holiday Drive Supports 20 Families With Help From Jamaur Law Foundation (thebaynet.com) — A local holiday drive based in Waldorf is inviting residents to “adopt” one of 20 families by donating gifts like clothing, toys, diapers, and winter coats.
