Burglary Suspect Caught On Surveillance Video In Wheaton: Police

Montgomery County police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a burglary in Wheaton last Friday morning.

WHEATON, MD — Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a burglary in Wheaton last Friday morning.

Detectives released surveillance video of the suspect on Wednesday. The burglary occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on Jan. 26 at a home in the 2000 block of University Boulevard in Wheaton.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, with a thin build, average height, brown eyes and approximately between 18 and 20-years-old. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark gray beanie, a blue trench coat, a white rosary necklace and black/white shoes.

The suspect walked to the home and knocked on the front door. The suspect then entered the garage of the home and approached a car that was parked inside the garage. The suspect then broke the car’s window, stole property and left the scene, according to police.

A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
