• Wheaton Safeway Operating as Normal After 300K Gallon Water Leak (mymcmedia.org) — Safeway on Georgia Avenue in Wheaton is fully open again after a massive basement water leak earlier this month flooded 300,000 gallons into the store and forced nearby Arrive Wheaton apartments to be condemned temporarily. Residents were displaced for several days, sheltered at a county recreation center, and are now back home while tenant groups press management over communication and safety concerns.
