Montgomery County Public Libraries closes branches on Sundays starting Jan. 11 (wjla.com) â Wheaton residents should know their local library will remain one of only nine Montgomery County branches open on Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., starting Jan. 11. Most other county libraries will close Sundays to ease staffing strains, while all branches now offer limited free printing and even video game loans.

Metro Installing Modernized Bus Shelters Across Multiple Stations (mocoshow.com) â Wheaton Metro riders can expect modernized bus shelters as WMATAâs replacement project expands to the Wheaton station, alongside Medical Center, Grosvenor, Glenmont, and New Carrollton. Nearly 200 new shelters systemwide will feature better lighting, accessibility, and weather protection, though some bus stops and Kiss and Ride areas may shift temporarily during construction.
