No Lights, Just Camera and Action

The cast of HeHEE! or "What? It's Not Glee?" was not discouraged by the power outage in Wheaton; they moved their rehearsal outside in a Kemp Mill neighborhood.

The show must go on, despite the massive power outage in Wheaton after Friday's storm.

The cast of HeHEE! or “What? It’s Not Glee?” rehearsed outside Sunday afternoon, in preparation for the one-act comedy's July 14 premiere at The Studio Theatre during the 2012 Capital FRINGE Festival.

The group of high school and college students are all connected with The Comedy Academy, a not-for-profit creative theater organization in Silver Spring.

One of the play's co-authors, Liam Brennan, 18, is a graduate. The other co-author is professional playwright Harry Bagdasian, 63.

Bagdasian, who is also the director, told Wheaton Patch that the group's biggest challenge for practicing outside in a Kemp Mill neighborhood was "our short attention spans."
