Suspects Wanted In Armed Robbery Of Wheaton GameStop

Police released a composite sketch Friday of one of two suspects wanted for an armed robbery of a GameStop store in Wheaton.

WHEATON, MD — Police released a composite sketch Friday of one of two suspects wanted for an armed robbery of a GameStop store in Wheaton.

Investigation has revealed that at about 8:50 p.m. Oct. 3, two suspects entered the GameStop at 11147 Veirs Mill Rd. and demanded cash from the store's safe. One of the suspects was armed with a gun, police said.

After the suspects stole money from the safe, they forced two store employees into the store office. The suspects then stole property from the store and fled from the back door of the business, police said.

The first suspect is described as a black male who is 6'2" tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket and black pants, police said. See his composite sketch above.

Police describe the second suspect as a black male who is 5'7" tall and heavy set. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants and was armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
