100-Degree Heat Strikes Back Across MA This Week: See Latest Forecast
The National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory for most of the state starting Monday morning through Wednesday night.
MASSACHUSETTS — Massachusetts is in store for yet another heat wave this week with feels-like temperatures forecast to exceed 100 degrees for parts of three days through Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory beginning Monday morning and running until 8 p.m. on Wednesday for much of the state. The NWS said heat index values of 95 to 100 degrees will exist all three days with the highest values expected on Tuesday — up to 103 degrees.
"Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses," the NWS said. "Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

"Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke."

Monday will be mostly sunny and very warm with highs near 90 degrees.

Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week with a high temperature of 97 degrees in Greater Boston.
Wednesday will be another hot one with a high of 94 degrees. Wednesday will also include the chance for showers early and potentially damaging thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Rain and thunder chances will continue into Wednesday night.
Thursday and Friday will feature much cooler and more comfortable weather with highs in the 70s.
