New Bedford Man Nabbed In Connection With Teen Stabbing
Police have arrested Latrell Baskin in connection to the fatal stabbing of Rayshard Normil-Jerome in New Bedford Tuesday morning.
NEW BEDFORD, MA — 21-year-old Latrell Baskin is in custody in connection to the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old in Clasky Common Park Tuesday morning.
Police launched a homicide investigation into the murder of 18-year-old Rayshard Normil-Jerome after he was found near a park.
A Massachusetts State Trooper was on patrol near the park just before 1:30 a.m. when someone stopped him to inform him they found someone unresponsive nearby.

When the Trooper got to the area, he found Normil-Jerome on the ground, suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Normil-Jerome was immediately taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Baskin has been placed under arrest and has been ordered to be held without bail on an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon charge.
