Adorable Baby Giraffe At Southwick's Zoo Already Stealing Hearts
The calf is already 5-feet-tall.
MENDON, MA — A local zoo has a new resident, and it is already stealing hearts.
A baby giraffe has joined the herd at Southwick's Zoo, and it is already standing over 5 feet tall, despite being less than two weeks old. The calf was born to Molly, one of the zoo's most beloved giraffes, who has been a favorite among visitors.
Zookeepers say they are thrilled to welcome the newest member of the family. The calf is doing wonderfully and was standing and nursing within hours of birth.

For now, the calf is spending most of her time bonding with Molly in a protected space. But visitors will be able to watch her grow in the coming months.
The zoo will also launch a public naming contest for the adorable animal, according to the Telegram and Gazette.
