MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch's weekly round up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings and more in the state's dining scene.

This week marked a triumphant return for a beloved cakery that went from "Cupcake Wars" to brick-and-mortar limbo but has since found a new home for its operation.

Yum Bunnies Cakery recently began serving customers out of a permanent space again after closing a Belmont location last year. The cakery had been around for 16 years in Belmont before the space's landlord decided to go a different direction with the lease.

Now open on Waltham's Main Street, the cakery hasn't lost any dedication from customers, as they've already had at least one sold-out day.

Still in limbo, however, are Stop & Shop workers at a Freetown distribution center.

Teamsters Local 25 members are accusing Stop & Shop of pushing employees at a distribution center in Freetown, MA, to accept what the union considers a substandard health care plan. Stop & Shop officials are saying the company is trying to cut "high" operational costs at the center.

Members were out in full force on a frigid Friday morning in protest of the status of negotiations. A unified chant rang out before the sun came up: "Together we win, divided we beg."

The current divide could have widespread ramifications, with Teamster officials stating that picket lines could launch at every Stop & Shop store across New England.

On Cape Cod, Provincetown Brewing Company is moving, but it'll be staying local — and true to its name.

The brewery announced a plan to take over the Crown & Anchor space on Commerical Street, noting that operations there should begin over Memorial Day this year.

Officials said the move represents a collaboration between two beloved Provincetown institutions, and situates PBC at a prime Commercial Street location while reimagining Crown & Anchor's dining and outdoor experiences.
