Body Of 6-Year-Old Boy Recovered In Merrimack River: Police
Authorities had been searching for nearly 72 hours since the boy fell into the Merrimack River in Amesbury on Thursday.
AMESBURY, MA — Authorities have recovered the body of a 6-year-old boy nearly 72 hours after he fell into the Merrimack River on Thursday in Amesbury.
Amesbury police announced they had recovered the boy at 2 p.m. Sunday in a social media post.
"We pray this gives the family some closure," the Amesbury Police Department said in the post.

A kayaker found what is believed to be Mas DeChhat's body near Piper's Quarry, authorities told WCVB Boston. The body was taken to the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification.
Mas' mother, 29-year-old Boua DeChhat, died attempting to save him Thursday, according to the TV station.
