Chick-fil-A Delivery Is Getting Better In This MA City: MA Food Week
Plus: A national salad chain is opening another Massachusetts location and new shops and restaurants are coming to a local mall.

MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch's weekly round up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings and more in the state's dining scene.
This week, we learned that Chick-fil-A is opening a kitchen within Boston’s CloudKitchens network, designed to exclusively fulfill delivery orders throughout the city, officials said.
Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Matt DeMichele-Rigoni to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Boston Delivery, alongside Chick-fil-A Copley Square.

The delivery service began on Wednesday and is the company's first delivery-focused kitchen in the city.
"Chick-fil-A delivery-focused kitchens are specially designed kitchens that meet the same high standards as our restaurants and are operated by Chick-fil-A Local Owner-Operators," restaurant officials said.

The kitchens also solve a problem for local restaurants, as they focus on preparing orders for delivery, primarily through third-party platforms.
Located at 94 Shirley St within the Roxbury Newmarket Foodhub, the Chick-fil-A will fulfill delivery orders Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
“I am incredibly grateful to open this delivery-focused kitchen, where we can provide our Guests with even greater convenience and accessibility to their Chick-fil-A favorites,” said DeMichele-Rigoni.
“By dedicating this CloudKitchens space to delivery, we're not only better serving our Guests, but also significantly increasing our capacity to serve delicious food more efficiently. We're thrilled about the opportunity to continue serving Boston with the same quality and care our Guests have come to expect.”
DeMichele-Rigoni has worked with Chick-fil-A for over 15 years, beginning his Chick-fil-A career at age 15 at a local restaurant in Nashua, New Hampshire. After participating in the restaurant company’s Leadership Development Program in 2017, he was selected to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Copley Square in 2022.
The kitchen space itself will employ about 20-25 people, officials said.
Copley Square Updates
Slated for later this Fall, Chick-fil-A Copley Square will temporarily close for a remodel, making improvements to meet the needs of the Back Bay community.
Enhancements will include a redesigned front counter, serving area and guest queueing to better accommodate dine-in, mobile carry-out and third-party pick-up, officials said. The addition of an exterior door and awning will improve flow, they added.
