The higher terrain of Worcester County and the Berkshires are under a High Wind Warning with gusts expected to 60 mph or higher.
This wind will be out of the west and bring in much colder air than the southerly gusts that accompanied the overnight storm Wednesday night into the Thursday, where a 69 mph gust was recorded at Blue Hills in Milton and gusts of 40 to 50+ were recorded across Massachusetts, according to the NWS.
In the meantime, Thursday was shaping up as perhaps the warmest day so far in 2025 with temperatures in the high 50s and clearing skies.
The wind arrives Friday night as temperatures plummet back into the 20s. Friday will be much cooler, with a high of 41 degrees, and the winds will make it feel below freezing.

Another big springlike surge appears on the horizon as temperatures rebound to near 50 degrees on Monday and near 60 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday.
