First Day Cut Short After Roof Fire At Central MA School

LUNENBURG, MA — Students at school in central Massachusetts were sent home early on the first day of school.

Lunenburg Middle High School was dismissed early after police said a fire broke out on the roof of the school. There were no injuries, according to the Lunenburg Police Department.

Police said that all students and staff were accounted for.

Student bus and pickup information would be sent by email, as Lunenburg first responders continue to work at the scene.
