First Look At Thanksgiving Day Forecast In MA: Here's What To Expect
Get a sneak peek into travel conditions across Massachusetts ahead of the big holiday week.
MASSACHUSETTS — Those planning to take a trip over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house this Thanksgiving week are looking at warmer and wet weather — with little chance of the white stuff on the roads delaying travel plans — according to the National Weather Service.
After a mostly colder start to the month, it will take a turn to the high end of the seasonable side with temperatures ranging into the 50s to near 60 for most of Thanksgiving week.
The best travel days will be Monday and Tuesday for those who can get an early start with highs near 50 degrees, sunny skies and light westerly winds both days.

It will become stormy late Tuesday night as rain arrives and lasts into Wednesday. The good news is that it will be warmer with a high of 57 degrees on Wednesday, limiting disruptions on what is traditionally one of the busiest travel days of the year.
Showers may linger for all those high school football games on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. But it should be comfortable overall with a high of 52 degrees.

The long-range forecast is calling for improving weather over the course of Thanksgiving with early showers giving way to afternoon sun.
It could be a much chillier trip home for those who spend the weekend away, however, as sharply colder temperatures are expected to move in for the end of the holiday weekend with highs only near 40 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.
So it will feel like winter for all the cities and towns that have their downtown Christmas tree lightings on those two days.
