Gov. Charlie Baker's administration on Monday unveiled an online system that produces a copy of COVID-19 vaccination cards.

Residents can go to MyVaxRecords.Mass.Gov and enter their basic information to be sent a link to what is essentially a digital vaccination card. It comes with a QR code that can act as vaccination verification.

The record of vaccination shows some personal information, like the name, birthday, which vaccination was administered and when.

Massachusetts still does not mandate a vaccine, though a handful of cities are requiring proof of vaccination before entering most indoor public settings. In Boston, people will have to start showing proof of at least one vaccination dose by Jan. 15.

Now it will be as simple as printing out your vaccination information or taking a screenshot on your phone.

The state tool draws on records healthcare providers have reported to the Massachusetts Immunization Information System. For records of vaccinations from the federal government or another state, Massachusetts suggests contacting whoever administered it.
