MASSACHUSETTS — It isn't so much a question of what there is to do in the Boston area and beyond, but rather, what should locals do?

Already underway, the FM Championship has brought a who's-who of the world’s best golfers, and one of the strongest fields of the LPGA Tour season, to Massachusetts to compete for a $4.1 million purse, the largest purse on the LPGA Tour outside of the majors and tour championship.

The 2025 FM Championship field includes 70 LPGA Tour winners, led by 2024 FM winner Haeran Ryu and 2024 FM runner-up Jin Young Ko, who has 15 LPGA Tour victories on her resume. Those 70 winners include all five major champions from 2025, as well as 20 of the year’s record-setting 22 different champions.

Music festivals are also on the docket this weekend, with the beloved Club Passim-hosted campfire. Festival going through the weekend, along with the Boston Jazz Festival and AfroCity Music Festival.
